So I know a lot of people here are American students but I was wondering if anyone knows much about postgraduate study for international students (English) in the US of A - specifically, History PhDs. Even more specifically, the history of early American slave societies.
The websites are verrrry complicated for someone completely ignorant of the American university system - even just looking at funding outlines is confusing! I know I need a visa and all that jazz but can anyone offer me any insight into opportunities for international funding, or what sort of standardized tests I might need to complete - even degenerating into bigging up your own uni and badmouthing the one down the road would help narrow the field!
Goddamn my academic mentor for getting a completely amazing job offer and buggering off and leaving me to deal with this on my own DX
