She almost had me until the end. Because, really, we wouldn't assume she was passing the buck if she didn't seemingly do so this often.

Also note that she says that she has no regrets over believing what she was told, which ended up being malicious fabrication. So, I take it that - with full knowledge of just what sort of person msscribe is and what lengths she'd go to get into Cassie's pants, she'd do it all over again.

I guess part of my feeling about this is because you've made it fairly obvious that you think Heidi's attempt is laughable, but I can't say she's given you a lack of material to work with.

Or, the report sounds grudging, but Heidi needs to stop digging the hole she's in before she reaches China.

Also, Cassie is a FIRE CROTCH. I just felt like putting the last part in since it's 1 AM and I'm feeling sort of wonky.

She had no idea how people would interpret her comments about ari_o? Seriously? They seemed pretty clear to every single person who read them. I guess it's really between them now, and I hope ari_o can come to some sort of peace however that happens, so I am not trying to start anything with regards to that.

But it's statements like that that make me doubt everything Heidi says, because I can't believe she'd be so clueless and if she's hiding behind cluelessness to get her out of trouble for that, which else is she using it to get her out of trouble?

That was the most stilted, self-flattering apology I have ever read. My god, Heidi, why can't you just admit that you messed up? Why do you have to sound so formal about it and always try and save face?

When it's revealed that you're a douchebag, you say, "Crap, I was a douche, I'm sorry!" not, "Yeah, I made some mistakes, but it was understandable and I apologize. Oh, and actually, some of the things you're accusing me of wasn't true."

Is it just me, or is Heidi incapable of sounding sincere? She might actually feel badly about this whole thing, I really can't tell anymore.

With regards the apology to [info]ari_o - I don't think she can do any more publically than that. The rest is between them.

But after that, things seemed to go downhill:

Why? Honestly, why? Not everyone gets the massive help in discerning truth from fiction that she got two years ago in getting [info]angua9's letter outlining Msscribe's actions point by point. Was there something in the air in 2003-2004 that kept her synapses from firing? As far as I know, the truth is the truth is the truth no matter what the calendar says.

I don't think there is any such excuse. She was presented with an utterly exhaustive compilation of evidence and she "lost it" five times and ignored it on the sixth. I don't know whether that was carelessness or complicity or malice, but until she explains her totally dropping the ball on Angua's letter, it will remain the enormous elephant in the room looming awkwardly over everything she says.

First mousey comment to JournalFen EVA! Not part of the fandom but have been reading this saga with rapt attention. Man, and I thought the FF7 fandom had its batshit moments... >.>

I could go on at length about how I've disliked Heidi and the rest of the Inner Circle since reading the tales of Aja's dealing with them, or why I think Heidi is coming off almost as badly as MsScribe in this debacle, but instead, I have a burning question to ask.

What has CASSIE said about all this? I mean, seeing as she was the center of MsScribe's obsession, surely she'd probably have some reaction to all this? I mean, let's be frank; MsScribe/Dionne/whatever her sockpuppets were called were basically STALKING her in a fashion. You'd think her LJ would be lit up like a Christmas tree in indignation. Yet I haven't heard anything about her reaction/statements/anything.

Am I missing something? I'm not a huge fan of Cassie either (awesome LOTR VSD aside) and I don't know what the usual routine is for these issues (does she just shut up and let others talk for her?) but her silence is puzzling for this outsider. Any thoughts?
