... it is a sign I have too many perverts and yaoi fans on my flist when the first thing I thought when I saw the words, "kissing cousins" I thought, "Hmm... Cloud and Squall look like they could be related... and I KNOW they end up kissing in half the fic out there... >.>" and then proceeded to drift away in fantasies about Squall and Cloud sucking face. Then my good old Seph/Tifa/Cloud plotbunny came and smacked me for cheating. I think it's getting bitchier. o_O

Fandom drift can be a good thing, though bittersweet. I'd say I've drifted away from the Sailor Moon fandom, which is sad, but at least I got away from the sheer amount of TRIPE in that fandom. >.> Ew. Ew ew ew.

Heh, the only pity about Cloud and Squall kissing is so much of it is Cloud and Leon - not the original Cloud and Squall.
I'm still waiting on a fic that gardensgnome based on a drabble challenge I gave her - Cloud/Squall, FF7/FF8 non-KH crossover.

Yeah, I recently felt a bit of the effect of fandom drift - I was idly looking at my

majinbakahentai user info on LJ and noticed one of my favourite writers had suddenly deleted her journal. I later found out she deleted it partly because she's dedicated herself more to original fantion and she wanted to put the persona that journal was based on behind her (it was a bitchy persona, got on F_W a couple of times, but she developed it to protect herself).

It kinda reminded me of how much I miss since I've moved fandoms.

Hehe, I think I'm now a Leon/Aeris shipper: OMG, their love is so based on her offering tech support for his computers! XD Plus it leaves it free for lovely lovely CloTi. ^_^ ~~And Seph just does everyone. >.> Satisfies me.~~ But yeah, actual crossovers are pretty rare now thanks to KH... I wouldn't mind seeing a few VII and VI crossovers (General Celes/General Sephiroth OTP XD)

Well, of course, we must always remember that fandom is SERIOUS BUSINESS. ;)
