To claim an NPC: Post an entry with the name of the celebrity being claimed as the subject line Name: (Name) Orientation: (Straight, Gay, Bi) Occupation: (Actor or otherwise) Membership: (Are they a Citadel member?) Age: (Age) Appearance: (Height, weight, hair, eyes, build) Game connections: (self-explanatory) Back story: (relevant backstory) Before claiming a NPC, please post to the mailing list confirming that yours is the only backstory that needs to be mentioned. From the Game FAQ: 5. What's an NPC? -- An NPC is a character who is not actually played but appears in your character's backstory/storyline. 6. Can I use a Citadel staff member as an NPC? -- Not unless you contact admin first. This includes board members, Citadel-retained professionals (doctors, lawyers, counselors) and any other Citadel employees. If your log requires the involvement of a Citadel staff member, please write admin. 7. Do I need to list the people in my backstory on citadel_npcs? -- If someone coming into the game and playing that character would radically change your character's backstory, yes. If the character could be played by someone else and you would never notice, no. If all you want to do is mention an actor your character knew from work and might be friends with, no.8. How many NPCs can I claim? -- We'd prefer to leave as many celebrities available as possible so that new players can come into the game without restrictions on the characters they'd like to play. If it isn't imperative that a character in your pup's backstory is a specific celebrity, we ask that you consider making him/her an OC. If you feel that the NPC you want to claim is unlikely to ever be adopted and you would like to explore the possibility of making them more of a played character within your pup's storyline but not a full pup, please contact admin. 9. Can I use a character already listed on citadel_npcs in my backstory too? -- E-mail the player who posted the entry and ask.10. Can I play a character listed in the citadel_npcs community? -- Yes, but you MUST play the character with the backstory listed in the NPC entry, and MUST write to admin and the posting player about the character.Submissions will be moderated but only informally. Admin may know of backstory that needs to be included and this way, we can let you know behind-the-scenes rather than after the post goes up.
