Me smart! Me hate shippingz! Lolololololol
In Serebii.net's forums, the member octoboy asks why do the smart people dislike shipping?

Results are predictable; shippers going on about how anti-shippers are assholes, other shippers pointing out that some shippers are absolute nutcases, anti-shippers using the opportunity to tell everyone why shipping sucks, and shippers being offended because the OP suggested they're not smart. Of course, the OP corrects himself and assures the masses that he meant that the REALLY smart people dislike shipping, but that doesn't really help.

Oh, Serebii. I came for the somewhat active Rocketshipping thread, I stayed for the lolz.

ETA: Nevermind. The wanker is underaged, apparently. Curse Pokemon for being targeted at ten-year-olds.

I don't think it has anything to do with smartness, or even intelligence...

Or IQ or even acumen.

My first ship ever was Ash/Misty. *nostalgia* (My second ship was Harry/Hermione. Don't laugh, I was in eighth grade.)

Anyway, shipping didn't seem terribly unpopular back then. Granted, I was on a Pokemon fanfic mailing list, so everything was either shipping or tales of Mary Sues. (I was guilty of the latter. Oh, Ash and Misty's daughter who was secretly Mewthree injected with human DNA so she'd transform into a human, how I don't miss you.)

Wait, what's this about Rocketshipping getting discounted?

Discounted? Like "Rocketshipping, 80% off?"

I usually get mine for free. Except that hentai doujinshi.

What?

Octoboy's member profile says he's only 14 years old. I think the wankees have to be 18 or older here.

Eeee... I don't know. (It's usually something I forget to check, too.)

Checking is usually a good idea, especially on a forum like Serebii in which not only the OP but most of the participants are likely to be kiddies - fairly obviously in that thread given that the first page I opened had "I'm smart, I'm going to get good SATs!"

I think Serebii wanks in general are a bit dodgy, because the forum is full of underaged posters. I'm dreading seeing my ickle brothers surface in a wank report, even though they're pretty well behaved online, because like most people on Serebii, they act like kids because, well, they *are.*

"I'm smart, I'm going to get good SATs!"

Oh, so *that's* what he/she/it was trying to say.

Deleting your link and saying your mistake was fine. Carry on, soldier.
