Oh, Heroes
A self-described "pseudonymous" source tipped this bawwwesome, bawwwwful wank-in-the-making to me.

I don't watch Heroes, but here is my source's description:
Heroes is kind of not such a great show as in "great show," but more like "trainwreck." And they've been retconning these two characters like whoa in order to justify a romantic story line between the two. And then this picture came out, it's a spoiler for an upcoming episode, and it looks like he killed her."

(I want to take one last moment to remind you that these links discuss spoilers, so know what you're clicking.)

My source then pointed me to the [info]sylarelle community on livejournal, specifically here and here, where people go a little bonkers trying to come up with explanations for the picture, you know, to save their ship. Theories include "they're faking her death!"; "it's a dream sequence!"; and "it's not Kristen Bell, it's Ali Larter!"

I also found this in the [info]mylar_fic community.

Clairvoyant because, well, if the Sylarelle ship sinks, there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth, but also gleeful dancing by other shippers, I guess.

I get a 404 when I try to look at the picture.

Is it better now? I can't actually check myself, because I'm at work where the firewall blocks Imageshack. But I went in and corrected the html (I'd left out a pair of quotation marks). In case I screwed it up even worse, the picture appears in both links to the sylarelle comm.

That should please shippers.

People keep talking about kerosene. I looked at it and for some reason thought that it was a 'behind the scenes' shot and he was just touching up her fake blood.

I remember simpler times, when Sylar killing people was just another Monday, when Sylar in romantic relationships was just slash fanfic, when I had any idea what the fuck was going on in this show. Those days, they'll never come back.

I used to love this show. Now? I just sometimes read the spoilers to see if it might be worth watching again.

Yes Peter is good at impulsive behaviour but he's certainly been beaten with the idiot ball this season.

I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable explanation.

"We were gonna have a barbecue at the beach. I was just killing the pig with a cleaver, when she tripped and hit her head on a piece of driftwood, and fell into the still-spurting pig... The lighter fluid? Uh..."

I kinda hope it is a fake-out, because Heroes does those all the time and I like Elle and her batshit ways.

If only Hiro would go back in time to save Adam from being sucked dry by Arthur Petrelli, then we could all pretend none of this had ever happened.

I don't think it is Kristen Bell. She has the fringe, and her hair's a darker blonde.

Not that I really care either way, but on first glance, I honestly did think it was Ali, not Kristen.

Huh... looks like Ali to me, too...

...what's with the bloody leg? Or dare I ask?

I have to go along with the whole "this season is MEH" thing, too, myself. I like the idea of people switching sides, in theory, but... in practice? It's meant that there hasn't been a character I could stay invested in/connected to. Which is both good in the sense that it lets one be more objective about what's being done to them, and bad because it means that I have no particular craving to keep watching other than "eh, got an hour to kill, might as well see what my friends are going to be talking about."
