Just-hatching Buffy Wank
The real fireworks haven't started yet, but this is probably one to watch... earlier today, Entertainment Weekly reported that there's going to be a new Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie. The hitch?

No Joss.
None of the TV show cast.
No references to the seven years of canon established by the TV show.

Apparently, the Kuzuis, who had purchased the rights to the original movie script (which Joss later accused them of ruining on its way to the screen) and remained credited producers on the TV series, have decided to remake that, and, while they're not excluding Joss from the project per se, they haven't "reached out to him."

So far we just have mounds of indignation... there's very little wanking as of yet because (a) hardly anybody's heard about this yet and (b) 98% of respondents to the article are in agreement that the idea sucks harder than a black hole.

But it'll come and it'll be juicy.
