Not that getting called out does anything to discourage him, of course. "When she said she'd been raped, part of me thought, "Even she doesn't deserve that." Another part thought, "Good, you little shit! Somebody finally treated you as badly as you treat everybody else! Now you know how it feels!" Some people, even when they're victims, are just too unsympathetic for me to feel sorry for them., and that came out in my comment." Just a reminder: this "little shit" he feels so much contempt for is someone he saw on TV one time. Their lack of self-awareness is truly staggering. Do they even read what they type?

I once deleted, on TVTropes, an example from Umbridge's character entry that not only presented that completely groundless "centaur gang-rape" theory as fact, but APPLAUDED THE CENTAURS. Now, let's get one thing straight. I think Umbridge is the most sickeningly evil character in the entire series. I do not, however, think even SHE deserves rape. I'm told TVTropes is full of misogynists, but I still like the site and that was my only encounter with them (so far). The guy you're talking about sounds even worse than this, however, as he's talking about a real person who sounded like she desperately needs psychiatric help.
