    Wait, is this a fan community??
    Just trying to make some sense of the "fan"dom (dumb?) these days, and I keep seeing posts like this at Delphi...so I wanted to pose the question...is Delphi a fan community? We've said it before, but with fans like this, who needs haters?

    yeesh.


    PATHETIC! How sad do you have to be, to post on JJ -use peoples names from here- even though they are spelt wrong - DUUHH whoever it is is fighting a battle as if its a war- NEWSFLASH- IT ISNT A WAR!! Miranda Kerr is a d-list mall model that people will dislike from time to time for whatever reason- its not jealousy- why would anyone be jealous of THAT freaky face? Now if we were talking someone with the looks of Charlize Theron or Rachel Weisz then yep- they ARE GORGEOUS, so its not the looks- ORLANDO? Nah why have a guy who is a wank? a guy who looks aged and looks like he stinks, a guy who sells out his relationship -and yes the shippers thats right, he has done that by turining a telethon into a farce- NO RESPECT! Famewhores! Now an Actor that I WOULD like - how about a handsome, down to earth, charming actor who has worked solidly and honestly for the past 15+years in TV FILM AND THEATRE in the UK (who cares about effing hollywood?? yawn)? Yep give me Joe Mcfadden anyday- and if you dont know who he is- good, you arent meant to, but thats whos career I'm following right now- and boy does it feel good to like someone the opposite of Orlando "I'm a joke to the general public"Bloom.

    It's (not) an honour just to be nominated
    We want our own category, damn it!

    Over here, awards are given out for various insider things in the Orlando fandom - or as they would say, fandumb. We are mentioned:
    Most Improved H8ter goes to Jaded of Delphi fame. Honorable Mention goes to Vy for Live From the Set of Sympathy for Delicious and dl_anon for being fans of the fandumb.
    I suppose we should be tickled that Big! Important! Bloggers know about our little comm. All the same, should we be nominated as h8ters? Aren't we really wankas? And, as V-Rich said somewhere, if we *are* h8ters because we h8te on the Orlando-Miranda h8ters, doesn't that make those who h8te us haters of the haterz of the h8terz?
    But that's not important now. What *is* important is the answer to the question:

    Orlandogate part 3,432,234,437 and half
    This is the Energizer Bunny of Orlando-based wank.

    Seriously. Still going on JJ. Over 400 comments that include delphi bashing, death wishes on Miranda, discussion of all the family members, the statement that Orlando had a 'personal blog' where he was talking to friends this past summer and was trashing Miranda (Huh?), Faked identity, Yadda yadda yadda. The thread is crusty with spooge. If you have any risk of pregnancy, don't click the link because there are enough swimmers over there to come through the wires.

    Delphi, of course, adds in their two cents


    Of course, you can't have the wank confined to just one thread at Just Jared. It's like a Tuberculosis outbreak--fast spreading.

    Here we have discussion of Eric Bana and Orlando, but the thread has devolved into how much everyone hates OL, and if you don't like OL then leave, and Mayfrayn is a fucking nutbar (with which I somewhat might agree, but the delivery of the point sucks in this case) and since someone invoked Mayfrayn by name, she shows up to troll shower the thread with happy thoughts, pink fluttery hearts and unicorn farts--ignore the smell of glittery sulpher, that's the odor of Twue Wuv.

    There now, people who think this journal named after DomLijah was set up by Miranda Kerr or her groupies in 2003 JUST TO MOCK YOU in 2009, don't you feel SO MUCH better?

    Where has the love (wank) gone?
    I KNOW I'm simply looking in the wrong places. Or not enough places. There's no way there's not wank somewhere about Orlando and his hot new smexiness as a rockstar. I tried Just Jared, but dang, almost nonexistent there.

    Or are the tinners still too busy writing and discussing among themselves for the wankers and haters among them to venture forth at this point?

    I hope it's OK to post to ask about wank; I don't have any to bring to the table this time yet. (I suppose I could wade into IMDB - I'm sure to find something - but that place scares me and frankly, I'd rather ask somebody who knows which threads are best and which are just wannabe harassers.)

    RETURN OF THE TINHATS
    There's an Elijah Wood fan community on LJ: elijah_finds , which has successfully been non-wanky, because the mods are quite strict about anyone either bashing or fangirling Pamela Racine, the woman Elijah has been spending a lot of time with for the last several years. Which is a shame because she's gorgeous and very nice (at least the time I met her). But basically, all wank is deleted and non-wanky Elijah-lurve continues apace.

    SO, in response, the fans who think Elijah "might be" gay (for Dom or just in general), created their own community, elijah_central. They post pictures and speculate on them, decoding body language and generally being weird about his love life: sound familiar? So far no color-based shout-outs, but there also were some seekrit pictures of Dom and Elijah from December, which certain Elijah fans decided were too private to be posted, and harassed people who found them separately.

    elijah_central has REAMS of discussion about a ring Elijah wears apparently given by Franka Potente, and how he still wears it: Still wearing the ring seems to be a way of keeping Pam kind of "at arms length"

    And the perenniel: Here we go again...Pam/Elijah paparazzi tours 2009 continues, including: The gym where paparazzi just *happen* to always be, the fact that she wasn't with him at his birthday a few days ago but now she's with him just in time for a photo op, the way a series of (much happier) pics of Elijah and Dom are countered like clockwork by an Elijah-Pam photo OP....do they really think it's not all obvious?

    When rakshi suppressed them in elijah_finds and posted about it, they went to her journal and wanked all over it in ALL CAPS (under the name ella_bumblebee and anonymously), including my favorite, the mum threat! YES i know elijah whether you care to beleive or not, i know his mum really well and I will be informing her of your stalker community. The truth you will never know ethier way and will claim not to care blah blah but really you will be shitting your pants. [sic]

    A moderator of elijah_central mourned: Maybe the Elijah is straight believers can learn something from the Elijah is gay believers and the other way around. I'm sorry if that's not possible somehow. (was public, now locked after realizing they were being called tinhats).

    It's like the last six years never happened.

    Orlando Bloom: Self-harmer? Let's tell his mom!
    For a person who is trying to get out of this stupid fandom, I spend too much time in it.

    Found on IMDB--in a thread that contains MUCH prime material about the now (in)famous picture of Orlando's NEKKID ass--is this discussion of how he got that nasty looking scrape on his knee.

    I thought that was pretty straight-forward. Active man + penchant for doing stupidly dangerous things + being a complete klutz + new motorcycle = bruises, contusions, and scrapes. But I am obviously wrong, wrong, wrong...

    ( And how wrong am I? Very. )

    Obviously there's something fishy in the state of Denmark. But what can we, the insignificant but loving fans, do to make Orlando stop dating that... that... WHORE. Because of her, we've seen his naked ass (Memo to me: write Thank-You card to MK and send her flowers) and he's let his body go and he's gone back to doing drugs and he's not working on small independent movies that we want him to do, just on small independant movies we don't want him to do, and he's turned into a PR loving media whore and... and ... and...

    The people over at the newly formed Delphi Forums (because JJ was not freaky enough for them, I suppose) have an idea!

    PhD experiments and trolls at IMDB
    ( Things get ugly (again) in the land of Orlando )

    And Brad and Angelina get dragged into it.

    Things start out ok as perennial posters Shenanyginz and Blue Dahlia give vicki the benefit of the doubt, but she keeps pressing her point:

    I don’t like cheaters. I think they are selfish self-involved people, who don't mind who they hurt as long as they get what they want, and have no sense of what is right, they justify their actions, or even worse the code they live by according to what is best for me first. I do think what Brad did was worse to some degree because they were married and had been for almost ten years. But it takes the same mindset. A sense of entitlement almost, I need this woman to make me happy, and sure it is gonna hurt people, but it is what I want so I am going to take it. Of course I think Miranda and Angelina are just as responsible and just as selfish. What about walking away from temptation, what about keeping promises to a person? I know that marriages break up, and I realize that sometimes there is just nothing a person can do to keep it together, but I hate that people don’t take committments very seriously anymore. And for those who think I am jumping the gun by saying he was part of the cheating she did on her boyfriend, there is just as much evidence that he cheated as there was back when Brad first started seeing Angelina, and look how that worked out. I think supposedly he even told Jennifer that he didn’t cheat on her. Let’s see, he was seen with Angelina all the time, and they tried to hide from the paps, or they said they were innocent meetings taken out of context. Gee, doesn’t that sound like Orlando and Miranda, innocent photos of them apartment shopping sightings in London during most of the summer. Then Brad started to hang around with her more and more, although they were very careful not to be photographed together, and SAME with Orlando. Then after the split with Jennifer was final it took like what, a month or so and they were a couple, and once again just like Orlando. Such a feeling of de ju vu. There is just as much evidence that Orlando was involved with cheating as there was that Brad did, and we all know how right everyone was about that. I know many don’t agree, so I will leave it at that.
    There are many that I am gonna miss, BlueDahila89 and Shenanyginz, fro fro are only some I can think of.

    Then from what I can gather from comments after a deleted post, things take a turn for the worse when someone named Blinken16 claims he's Orlando's "friend."

    Q: There have been loads of rumors since LOTR first came out about the activities that went on during filming eg that the actors were involved with one another onset (Elijah/Dom, Orlando/Viggo) but once LOTR stopped filming all relationships ended and now they're all in the closet, 'dating' women in the public eye to cover up their past and fool people into thinking they're straight! Basically, I'm just curious to hear if you find it upsetting or bothersome that so many actors (that you know) now are 'in the closet' just to boost their careers because they feel their female fans would not like them anymore if they ever came out (which I personally disagree with).

    A: This gossip is all news to me. Elijah, Dominic and Orlando introduced me to their girlfriends during shooting. I didn't ever meet Viggo's partner although his son visited a a few times. It would seem that none of my friends can be accused of hypocrisy. Probably the fevered imagination of slashers is to blame.
    Hiding homosexuality is a long-tested shame in Hollywood and no doubt continues even in these days of gay marriage and gay civil partnerships. I agree that audiences are much less perturbed than producers allow, by a performer's sexuality. How else to explain the continuing popularity of George Michael, Elton John, Rupert Everett, Ellen de Generes and, excuse me, also the gay actor who played Gandalf?
