Reply Re: picture Gah... I can't believe how angry and frustrated I am right now. The girls that brought the DomLijah sign to TRL have revealed themselves, and have no remorse whatsoever for what they did, and seem to have no idea that what they did was wrong.

So I'm being put in a really uncomfortable position, trying to explain to them why it was rude and inconsiderate, while not sounding like a hypocrite because of what I do. People just don't get that there's a difference between talking about something privately, on obscure message boards, and confronting someone with this, not to mention putting the idea out there to another million or so viewers of TRL.

When I first started talking about this, I honestly thought it was private conversation, and it would never become public. When I realized that our talking about it was going places it shouldn't have gone (like the dipshits who posted the database on the front page at elijahfan, and those dumbasses who did the VVG site, which STILL comes up as one of the first hits on a Google search for Elijah, or the fucking idiot who hollered "are you gay" when Dom called for questions at TORN) I tried to button things down as best I could, but some people just don't seem to care. They're so much more interested in "having fun" or getting attention for themselves or whatever that they don't realize what they're doing. Maybe they assume that the "rumors" couldn't possibly be true, therefore it's all just a big joke, ha ha. They don't realize that what they've done is put the guys in a position of having to confront the rumors publicly way before they were ready to do so. It's not DL or this place or my journal, back when it was read by a couple hundred people that put this in their laps and made them have to address it. It's the VVG site, and shit like this. It's people not understanding the difference between talking about something sensitive among friends and spreading it all over the freaking planet.

Granted that the guys themselves have fanned the flames, and if they hadn't, I certainly wouldn't have been talking about it all this time. But people are running with this much further than what the guys have done, and that makes me really angry, and even more angry because people blame me for starting the fire when I did no such thing, and have been trying very hard since I realized how big it was getting to, for my part, keep it under control.

IF they want to come out publicly, they will. If they want to maintain the glass closet, they will as well. But people have to realize that just as there are degrees to being out, there are degrees to talking about this, and going beyond what the guys themselves are doing is incredibly rude and insensitive. There's no harm in saying "hey, I think so-and-so is gay" to a friend, but doing something like taking out an ad in the paper saying that is just beyond ridiculous.

All bolded parts are mine.

1) I think it's tacky, but I don't see MsA as any better.
2) I don't see why he's an idiot.. if you want to know something, asking the person in question is better than speculating and talking with people who have no clue.
3) Nobody else can out them, it seems.

Er...

I thought that DL was read by everybody in Hollywood and that MsA and her buddies took great glee, at one point, in sticking it to PR (hence the "Fuck PR") slogan because the guys really wanted to be out.

In fact I'm sure that's what happened because I've been keeping up with this thing way too long.

Sorry, but you gossip, you risk it getting out. Posting shit on the 'net about real people will, 9 times out of 10, come back to bite you in some way.

After reading all this I feel like it is a birthday, Christmas, Halloween and Valentines Day all rolled up into one. Sugar high for sure gonna kick in.
I especially liked your comment on 9 times out of 10 getting bit (in the butt, my take on it) if you open your mouth for gossip. I love gossip but MsA has taken this to a level unheard of anywhere, anytime, anywhen.
I love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning, noon and evening.
