Perhaps I'm mistaken but I thought celeb deaths should only be posted in [info]deathwatch. I do see a new post for Dixie Carter has been made there. Just wondering.

If I'm correct (and someone correct me if I'm not): Certain celebrities, those that have crossed over, and are well known both in and out of fandom or are just that huge (ie; like when Mike Jackson died) can be posted in both spots. Dixie Carter is one that IMHO toes the line, but she was a damned fine class act, and a wonderful woman.

IIRC from the last time this came up, it's always allowed. But if people start getting too post-happy with non-fandom deaths who aren't that well known, people tend to start bitching at the poster anyway, since presumably they didn't subscribe to deathwatch for a reason.

People are always going to post about non-"fandom" actors they're fond of. And other people are always going to complain about it.
