Mystery recs?
So we haven't had a good book rec extravaganza in here for a while. I thought I'd rectify that!

I have an insatiable craving for mysteries, and a tendency to devour them whole in one sitting - which sadly means that I run through my to-read list very quickly. So I thought I would ask you awesome people for help!

I am very easy to please - adult, YA, middle-grade, everything is fine with me. Bonus points for some sort of creepiness factor, whether it's from an atmospheric setting or supernatural elements. Great characters and relationship dynamics are also a huge plus. I am mostly on the hunt for books, but if you have an awesome TV or movie rec, I'd love to hear it!

Thank you so much in advance! ♥

EDIT: These all look really fantastic, you guys! Thank you so much! Looks like I'm going to be busy for the next few weeks...

well, I'm not sure about how well the mystery was, but I read a cozy recently called tale of hill-top farm by susan albert wittig. It's about Beatrix Potter. However, the animals mostly solve the mysteries at hand. It was a nice comfy read, though!

The Thin Man by Dashiel Hammett is a well-written one, but with somewhat unpleasant characters. So caveat there! Good book though.

Do you like Agatha Christie? The first Miss Marple (Murder at the Vicarage) and The Thirteen Problems are a lot of fun! I haven't read any other Marples yet, so I cannae rec those ones.

Also: Murder on the Orient Express, a Hercule Poirot mystery, is a classic for a good reason.

I can't believe I've never read the Thin Man. Thanks for the reminder.
