So judging from the trailer, Samara from The Ring grew up to make porn? That's kind of diabolical, but if she really wanted to kill a lot of people she would have uploaded her videos to bitorrent rather than leaving them in a box in some guy's closet.

A while back, there was this movie called Requiem for a Dream. It included a scene in which a sweet old grandmotherly type, half-deranged by diet pills and sleep deprivation to the point of hallucinating, is menaced by the people on the TV show she's watching (they come out of her screen), and attacked by a saber-toothed refrigerator. (I'm sure it sounds like I'm exaggerating there. I'm not. And as funny as it might look when I typed it, it's heart-wrenching on film -- it shows a very nice woman completely losing her mind.)

I kinda want to see Harmless now. I can just imagine hubby seeing a whole bunch of ladies with silicone busting out of the screen, followed by his porn stash jumping out of his closet, growing tentacles, and attacking people. No doubt the soundtrack will be all bowm-chica-bowm-bowm.

Great. Last weekend I went through all my zines and boxed up the ones with graphic art of people fucking. (I figured any day now my nine-year-old would get curious about the stacks of zines in the spare room.) Now I can apparently expect to be vengefully haunted at some point in the future by Illya Kuryakin, Jim Ellison and Mr. Spock.
