Why in the world did LJ get rid of comment subject lines? I can understand getting rid of a feature if users were somehow abusing it, or if it was hopelessly buggy, but i'm pretty sure neither of those applied to the LJ situation.

Apparently the guy who is redesigning the comment pages just thought it was ugly, and pretty much said fuck you to anyone who disagreed with him.

Yeah, he didn't like that the subject line would go to "..." when collapsed after so many comments. So, yeah.
