Square-Enix has posted a countdown site for The World Ends With You sequel
Square Enix has posted a new countdown site, and numerous clues on the page — its Japanese title, its music, its typeface, Tetsuya Nomura and Gen Kobayashi’s involvement, etc. — point toward a follow-up to cherished Nintendo DS RPG The World Ends With You.

Before you break out the celebratory GIFs, we still don’t know if this will be a handheld/console release, a mobile-only affair, or what. Perhaps it’s a collectible card game for Japanese arcades, who knows.

	Its hard to celebrate anything that square-enix does since Enix pretty much killed anything creative square ever did and was capable of. (Reply to this)

	From the fanart I've seen of him, I think part of his appeal to fandom is that he's openly a jerkass and the game acknowledges that fact. Also he seems to have a crush on Neku. That probably helps with his popularity a bit. I'm with you, though. He is pretty annoying, and even more-so in Kingdom Hearts 3D because of his voice. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	It's just kind of high-pitched and nasally, at least in the English version. Very smug, too, but that's pretty in-character. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Same voice actor in KH3DS as it was in TWEWY (Aaron Spann) though, and he sounds basically the same; you're just noticing it more because he talks more ;3 (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Aw, thank god. I actually loved Joshua's original voice. Perhaps it also has to do with the better audio capabilities of the 3DS, since the voice clips on DS games tended to be very compressed and slightly distorted. I think I will now get the KH3DS demo just to hear what some of the voices sound like :3 (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Yeh, I love his voice also and was twitchy until I confirmed that he still sounds right (at least to me) X3 Alas the demo isn't very helpful -- it's really kind of a bad demo as demos go and the only character you'll hear talk other than Sora is Neku. >_< If you want to check voices, youtube might be a better bet.
