That countdown site for The World Ends With You? Is for an iOS port. The World Ends With You "Solo Remix" arrives on iPhone and iPad tomorrow (August 27th).
Square Enix's The World Ends With You countdown has ended with an official announcement of an iOS port. And yes, it's expensive: $18 on iPhone or $20 on iPad.
The World Ends With You Solo Remix takes the one-character-per-screen gameplay of the DS game and changes it up for iOS, putting both Neku and his partner on the same screen, with redrawn HD artwork and additional music.
You'll be able to see the refreshed Shibuya setting as early as tomorrow: Square Enix lists the release date as August 27 – and that's for the English version.
