Does FW have the "no web spiders" option turned on or something?

Not a mod, but a look at the source of a recent post shows

<meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow, noarchive" />
<meta name="googlebot" content="nosnippet" />>

so I'd say yes. As for the other *wank communities, OTF is googleable, as is I_Wank... I'm sure the others you can check yourself. :)

It didn't used to be this way -- I remember googling for things last year, at least. But I bet no-robots was turned on to decrease the occurence of spambots...

Is it turned on to make FW less visible to link spammers, or to make harder for reportees to find wanks they were in?

Also, is it possible to make people "memory mods", who can work on memories without doing other modly things? Probably not. Hmmm. Can memoires be exported and imported? A "fw_memories" community could be established, where it would be easy to become a mod, so there could be lots of volunteers to work on the memories.

It's the spambot thing, if I'm remembering right. We were getting a lot of spam comments on posts. Certainly the second part never occurred to anyone.

I don't believe memories can be exported and imported. If they can, I don't have any idea of how to do it. I'm kind of the "memory mod" myself at the moment. At least, it's the only modly thing I do. Hnky was doing it, but fell behind, so I offered to help. It's just time consuming, but I usually manage to get in a few a day.
