Create your own radio station!
http://www.pandora.com/

Input an artist or song you like, listen to the offered music, reject stuff you don't like and before you know it, you'll have built your own custom radio station!
I'm having a blast with it and thought I'd share.

It's seems pretty cool, but they don't offer accounts outside the USA. Doesn't look incredibly hard to cheat your way into their service if one is so inclined, though.

Yup, I'm not a US citizen, but I can fake one online. It's like orgasms. *slings random zipcode at the crowd*

If they asked to fake a convincing New York accent that might be more of an obstacle.

Actually, add any random two numbers after 606 and you'll be fine.

I hate you; I had managed not to succumb before now

*googles lyrics madly, waits for hour to be over so I can skip songs I don't like again*

Is this like the thing on Yahoo Instant Messenger that lets you make your own radio station but the moment you start skipping songs it turns on you and tells you to wait?

Cuz if so, blegh, I have not the patience to wait.

You get a certain number of 'skips' per hour- I haven't figured out exactly how many...

I liked the first song I got, and like it so far, thanks.

Sweet!
My only complaint: Flash. Ew. :P
Better at getting music than Yahoo! or any other service I've tried, tho. And they know Gackt! *squee*

But they don't know Morning Musume. Sigh. I wanted to kill my brain by listening to Morning Musume while writing about Dante's Inferno.

I hate you.

I've been playing with this for 2hrs. It's feeding my addiction to industrial dance. Successfully. Very very successfully.

I love you.

It actually recognized some form of techno?

I put 'Gravity Kills' in and didn't think it'd return any results.

2hrs later I was still listening to all of the results it returned. Right genre. Right type. Right tone. No Good Charlotte. I was SHOCKED!

It's fun watching it transition from one type to the next based solely on whether you like the current song they played.

My goal: Get from Sarah McLachlan to Eminem.

Yahoo Launch had that but it had ads every 10 songs or so. I liked my account there, though, & loved rating stuff. This one seems cool, too, though.

I've already got over 13 thousand ratings on Launchcast, so starting over on another site seems like a bad idea. XP
