10:31AM - Re; Transformers Movie Filming in Detroit
According to the WWJ traffic report, the Transformer movie is fiming in the old (Abandoned) train station- Fort and Washington are both reportedly closed.
Today was the last scheduled day of filming but todays rain is causing concerns.
If anyone goes down to visit, please post a report!
(I'm not going downtown in the rain with a toddler.
Sorry.)
7:11PM - Something Oddly Amusing
I picked up the campus newspaper today to work on the sudoku puzzle when this comment in large print caught my attention. It was spoken by one of the men who is on the MSU equipment crew-
Knickerbocker's job doesn't generate much praise from the fans or from the media, but he doesn't mind. He loves his work, not because of the manual labor that comes with it, but because of his love for the game.
"I like being around young people and athletics," Knickerbocker said. "I enjoy seeing young people come in as freshmen and mature into adults."
But the cost of watching the maturation of his favorite players is a big time commitment. After every practice, Knickerbocker and his men have a job to do.
Yes, I am taking this out of context but still... color me amused.
7:16PM - Your Daily Dose of Random.
For those of you who have gmail accounts -- you know that little text ad with a link that always shows up at the top of your inbox?
Yeah, this was the one that I just got.
"Protect your Banana - www.BananaGuard-UK.com - Do you suffer from Bruised Bananas? No Need, Help is at Hand."
The site was down for 'essential maintenance' when I went to look, but the thing looks...yeah. Well. Anyway.
I love gmail.
ETA: I refreshed and got an ad for www.SafeBanana.com. I'm sensing a trend.
