What you can post here: new fan community announcements, questions about fandom, conversation starters about fandom, metafandom ponderings, links to fan resources that you want to share... essentially if it's fannish and it doesn't belong in fandom_rant or fandom_wank, then it can go here!

Please note that if you want to discuss fandom_wank, the better place for that is wankitywank.

What this means for you: A post about LJ communities being suspended for using too many tags is on-topic, because many fans have, or use, LJ communities. A post about online jargon is on-topic because the online fans who read here use online jargon.

Posts about tortured puppies and 7-legged deer are not on-topic, unless you are familiar with a fandom that involves tortured puppies or 7-legged deer, in which case please make that connection clear in your post.
