5:45PM - Harlan Ellison Pissed

Detailed plot rumors  of the new Star Trek movie recently surfaced on the internet.  

It supposedly uses quite a bit from the classic episode, "City on the Edge of Forever"

This is news to Harlan Ellison, who penned the teleplay.  He responds on his site:
 

 I'm not quite sure what to make of this, though I'm pretty sure it's going to get wanky. Wasn't he the one who groped a fellow author on stage?

6:52PM - Fanfic question

I've had an AU plotbunny bouncing around in my head for a while now. In a nutshell, it's a Sailor Moon/DC comics crossover in which the Senshi are DC comics heros teaming up for the usual throwdown with some big evil. They become Senshi only in the latter part of the fic.

My friends suggest using second tier or lesser known DC characters and I like the idea. So . . .

Ami - Blue Beetle (Ted Kord version, more or less)

Minako - Booster Gold

Jupiter - ? (I'm thinking either Black Canary or Power Girl)

Rei - Zantana

Usagi - ? (I'm thinking of Supergirl, if only because I'm thinking of casting her as a reporter for the school paper, though the Question might also work) Another option is that she doesn't really show up except for the Senshi bit.

Mamorou -? (I wanted him to be Batman as they both have similar qaulities, and because of the Bat/Supes slash jokes, but they shot that idea down. Martian Manhunter also got shot down)

Any suggestions?
