1:47AM - Magneto vs the Universe, and Jerry Springer on marrying horses
I got passed this post on Magneto vs. the Universe, and it was too hilarious not to share with JF.
Personally I love the Magneto vs. George W. Bush picture most, but Magneto and the Robot Who Hates Children made me laugh till I cried. :D:
Also, reading the newspaper last night, I glanced across this article on Jerry Springer's college tour, and was caught by this quote:
One of the episodes shown is "I Married a Horse," during which a Shetland pony is led out onto the stage of Springer's Chicago studio to kiss a decrepit man in visored sunglasses. The host's on-air introduction: "Today we have a love story."and again, had to share. :) Did nobody know about this episode during the His wife? A horse wank, or is it somewhere in the pages of comments?
Another perfect quote:
Wait, are you trying to tell us that in a few years marriages between people and ponies will be commonplace?
Springer laughs. "We did a follow-up show," he says. "The horse left him. It's not as open as you think. Horses are so judgmental."
(Also, while trying to find a copy of the article on a site that didn't need a login, I found this Yahoo!Answers classic. Add to the wiki, Y/N?)
4:44AM - Fanlib: not dead yet
So there's this YA series by Scott Westerfeld (Uglies Series). When I got to the third book (Specials) I found an ad at the end inviting readers to join Fanlib to read and write fanfics about the series. One one hand it's kind of nice to get explicit permission. On the other hand, well, Fanlib.
Has anyone seen this kind of ad in any other book?
(Randomly, here's a short Anonymous x Scientology fanfic I found. It amuses me.)
