The Agony Booth! A favorite place to spend a few hours reading. Just in time for the upcoming 'holiday', (the anonymous one or that one guy's birthday, I'm not sure which,) they've posted this:
The Mega-review of Battlefield Earth!
x-posted from

6:04AM - CoS vs Anonymous: Restraining Order Edition
I think this is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. The Church of Scientology is trying to obtain a restraining order against Anonymous to prevent them from having another peaceful protest.
See the article here.
As one Anon member puts it:
"We're filing a restraining order, your honor."
"Against who?"
"Anonymous."
"Excuse me?"
"They're Anonymous."
"Well, they how do you know they've been harrassing you?"
"Because we've seen them."
"Well, then they're not anonymous, are they?"
"Oh no, we're quite sure they're Anonymous."
"But then how do you know who they are?"
"Well, we don't specifically."
"But you just said you did!"
"No, no, we know they're Anonymous. We just don't know who they are specifically."
"But then how do you know who it is, if they're Anonymous?"
"Right, they're anonymous."
"Right."
"So can we have the restraining order?"
"Against who?"
"Anonymous! Haven't you listened to a word we've been saying?!"
"...Who's on first?" o.0
ETA: Oh, my bad. I just found out there's a community for this stuff.
operation_mock. I'm so out of the loop. Sorry for the spam.
ETA2: Oh man. This is getting not-funny fast. There's a copy of the document here. They claim Anonymous produced several videos with people with guns threatening to kill Scientologists and such. Just try to read the whole thing, I'm speechless.

6:54PM - Help finding an article or something similar.
This is related to my Japanese homework from last week, it's related to a tangible point I brought up. It's not important that I find it, but it's sort of driving me crazy so any help would be appreciated!
I remember reading a while back how BL and shoujo was a really profitable industry, to the point where some supposedly mainstream titles (aka shounen type things) were being dropped for them.
Can anyone help me find this article or something similar? D:
I thought I had it bookmarked but it's not on my del.icio account. =/
Thanks!
Actually any yaoi/BL articles related to history or changing role in society would be interesting to read. :)
9:51PM - The life and death of Stefen Colbear
Upper Deck hired artist Todd Lockwood to create a card for the World of Warcraft TCG featuring the likeness of Stephen Colbert.
Unfortunately, Colbert's agent nipped the idea in the bud. According to Lockwood, he didn't even show the artwork to his client. D'oh!
He's a man of myth, legend, and internet memes -- a Paladin crusader for Truthiness, justice, and the Alliance way. His name is Stefen Colbear, and he's putting the Horde on notice. You can get the artwork in wallpaper and card forms.
