4:42AM - Reality slippage?
In Australia, Bart, Maggie and Lisa are real people. Is this like The Velveteen Rabbit?
Link goes to google news search page, because I couldn't pick just one. (And apparently newspaper articles about absurd court decisions need warnings now. Who knew? I myself would like a pony.)
11:45AM - The Host hasn't been sparklefield-ed, right?
Sci-Fi blog i09 mentions The Host's "Souls" and The Animorphs' "Yeerks" in list of mind-controlling parasites.
I figured this could be fun for everyone who remembered the Animorphs/Star Trek when news of SMeyer's "totally original" story broke.
2:50PM - Ugh. Not Again.
Can anyone else get to LJ? My uni's internet seems to be failing.
Edit: Guess the LJ server feels like being robust. *sigh*
Edit 2: And now it seems to be back. Yay! Time to procrastinate moar.
4:11PM - I think the 'fen are the folks who need to know about this
The ten kinkiest sci fi/fantasy books evar. Please to note number six, about halfway down the page (of course).
Strangely enough, I got this link from Wiccan/pagan/academic blogger Chas Clifton.
5:43PM
Clear pics of the 2009 Sentai and Kamen Rider series are out.
( Meet Ji Sentai Shinkenger and Kamen Rider DCD (Decade) )
9:48PM - Beedle the Bard Movie?
WB Considering Tales of Beedle the Bard Film
This is just a rumor for now, and Harry Potter rumors have often been proven untrue (anyone remember the Harry Potter musical?). I quite enjoyed the book, and I'd love to see more Harry Potter. Nonetheless, this seems like a weird idea, and I'm not sure how much of the casual viewing audience (i.e. non-book readers) would flock to a spin-off featuring none of the original cast.
9:52PM - ABC Considering "Fables"
ABC to bring DC's 'Fables' alive.
Thoughts? Opinions? Fantasy casting?
