Ah, we are all familiar now with the time-honored tradition of professional published writers flipping their shit on the internet, no?

Add Alice Hoffman to the storied list.

The Executive Summary: using that ubiquitous new tool of social networking, Twitter, Ms. Hoffman lashes out at the literary critic of the Boston Globe, posting 27 tweets of ringing outrage (including the phone number of the critic, tastefully redacted from the Gawker article and thankfully no longer available on Ms Hoffman's now AWOL twitter feed). Outtakes are included, as well as a conversation in comments about the various literary and personality charms of Ms. Hoffman.

Obviously there is a lot of wank in Alice Hoffman's cute little meltdown, but I'm not seeing a tremendous amount of wank in the reaction (I did not, however, read all 42 pages of reaction at Gawker, so who knows). Am linking here mostly because this sort of thing no longer triggers my personal threshold of wank reporting, and strikes me more as a pathetic curios of irrational human behavior instead.
