1:24PM - Want to give someone an Internet?
Well, now you can!
I found Internetometer today and instantly thought of Fandom Wank since everyone keeps telling each other they've won the Internet or that they're being given an Internet.
It'll keep count for you, it takes two easy clicks and it made me giggle. What more could you want?
And before you ask, yes, you can give me an Internet. ^_~
4:18PM - "V" lands on ABC in November. Also, some "Lost" news (possibly spoiler-y).
9:35PM - Story recs, please!
It's that time of year again - time to start thinking about NaNoWriMo. And I'm hoping some of you good, well-read people can help me with fiction recs.
See, the novel I want to write this year is a little like the Iliad, in the sense that it's a character-driven story about two sides of a war. The trouble is that the only story I know of that really fits this mould is the Iliad, and I'd love to have a chance to expose myself to other stories fitting this bill.
Does anybody know of any novels (ideally) or TV/films that feature this sort of plotting, with both sides of a conflict equally presented and responsible for the events of the plot?
