9:00PM - The Walking Dead are heading to AMC
I don't know who's read The Walking Dead, but Variety announced today that Shawshank Redemption and Green Mile writer/director Frank Darabont is developing the comics series for AMC:

I'm honestly glad it's being turned into a TV series just because all of the drama and layers of the story really don't lend The Walking Dead to any other format. Still, it's AMC and the books are violent and harsh. I'm worried they might lose something in translation just because the show won't be on a network like HBO or Showtime that can get away with more.
