10:47AM - NYU JournalFen Meetup, Year 2, or Let's Do That Again!
Last year about this time, I organized a small meetup of NYU-area JFers to see The Girl Who Leapt Through Time at the IFC Center Theater. I think it went pretty well, if I do say so myself.
Well, I still have more law school, so...*grin*
This time, we have a treat. From September 18 to September 25, the Village East Cinema (on 2nd Ave. at around 11th-12th) will be showing Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone, with subtitles.
Now, the 18th itself is out of the question; it's Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, and I'll be busy both Friday and Saturday. Likewise, the following Friday is the day I'm going to the New York Anime Festival (which, again, if you're interested, let me know), so that would probably not be the best day to go to the Village East. (Only so much you can take in one day, you know.)
So, how does a movie on Sunday the 20th strike people?

Disney has picked up Naruto Shippuden to air on Disney XD, starting next month.
I presume Naruto fandom is freaking out.
Edit: Disney airing Naruto means "The End of the World"!!!!111
