12:59PM - JFNYU Lives, or Evangelizing
I bet you all thought I forgot about this, didn't you?
I've just learned the times of the Eva 1.0 showings at the Village East Cinema this Sunday:
11:30, 1:45, 4:00, 6:15, 8:30, 10:45.
My preference would be either 4:00, wherein we meet up beforehand, eat a late lunch or snack, and then see the show, or 8:30, where we'd probably get dinner before the show and then coffee or a drink or both afterwards. It runs about 100 minutes.
I'm leaning toward 8:30, but that's because I live very close, and have another engagement at 6:30 (so if we do 4, I'll have to bail out shortly after the show; but if we meet up an hour before the 8:30 showtime, I'll be done and free for the night).

Edited 2204 EDT, Sept 15: It looks like we have a quorum for 8:30. Now, I need to find a nearby restaurant--recommendations welcome--and we can arrange to meet at 7:30.
4:07PM - Eva fic - still in existence?
What's that? Did someone mention Eva?
I was just directed here by a wise friend whom I was asking about Evangelion fic. I know I'm several years late getting into the series, but I've fallen head over heels in love with it; sadly, I've had trouble finding active fic sites/communities, and apparently most of the existing fic is so old that it was posted on mailing lists. Does anyone know of sites or communities that are currently active, given the recent reboot, or old archives? Original series/manga preferred, as I haven't seen any of the reboot yet, but new stuff will be accepted too.
To be slightly finickier, I'd love femmeslash. Particularly Maya/Ritsuko, Misato/Ritsuko, or (my ultimate crack pairing, I'd kill a kitten barehanded to find it) Yui/Naoko. I'd go for some good ol' fashioned Kaworu/Shinji, though, absolutely. About the only character I don't really want to see involved would be Gendo.
