9:52AM - I'm going to miss the bunny ears on the shark ...
WOE! Angry Aliens Productions is calling 30 Second Bunny Theatre quits. No more tiny movie spoofs re-enacted by cartoon rabbits.
Doesn't say why (maybe STARZ canceled them) but here's their final thank you.
Current mood: Flattened
12:59PM - Blizzard Caves!
5:08PM - What the Hell Just Happened?
There has been weird crap going on in the world, guys. All of this stuff is, I think, sufficiently fannish to go here...
- Harlan Ellison is flouncing off of the Internet. (Currently the second post down; it will probably change, though.)
- A judge in Massachusetts slashed a jury verdict of $675,000 for filesharing ($22,500/song), saying it was grossly unconstitutional. He said that the maximum the constitution could support was $2,250/song, representing triple the statutory minimum (triple damages being a common punishment for willful violations).
- A woman in Florida protested the availability of the manga Gantz on library shelves. The organization she founded is called "Protect Our Children." Irony, apparently, is lost on her.
- The Westboro Baptist Church is going to protest Comic-Con. (Link is to a Scifi Wire piece, not the WBC itself. But I double-checked. It's on their picket schedule.)
Truth be told, the flounce might belong on F_W, but I am not touching that one with a twenty-foot pole.
