9:08AM - ...on our way to an old abandonded cabin in the woods
Dread Central has it on good authority from a very reliable source that long-time Sam Raimi editor Bob Murawski (Army of Darkness; Spider-man, Drag me to Hell) has packed up and headed out to Detroit to begin work on the long talked about fourth entry into the Evil Dead franchise, which will be "a small indie thing like the first two."
HOLD IT! Bruce Campbell HIMSELF confirmed the news via Twitter: Believe in the remake, dawg! The project is real. In the works. Cool as hell. Scary as hell.
Edit of Grooviness: It's going to be a "quasi-remake" and the director will be Fede Alvarez (Federico Alvarez), best known for his short movie Panic Attack/Ataque de Panico!.
3:21PM - Geeky Henna Tattoos
So I'm looking into getting a booth at next year's AnimeNEXT convention to do fandom-themed and generally geeky henna tattoos. For those unfamiliar with the term, henna tattoos are basically a traditional Middle Eastern (most often associated with India) art where you temporarily dye the skin using paste made from (in my case) the powdered leaves from the henna plant, lemon juice, sugar, and tea tree and chrysanthemum oil; you draw the pattern you want directly onto the skin and, as the paste dries, the dye is absorbed into the skin and leaves an orange stain which will darken to brown. It's similar to what you'll find people doing at carnivals, boardwalks, or amusement parks except I don't use any artificial inks. You can find more information here if you're interested.
Anyway, like I said, fandom-related and generally geeky henna tattoos. My problem is that I am but one person and not familiar with every fandom. So here's where you guys come in: I need suggestions! I'm looking for any sort of canon tattoo/scar/mark that a character might have that fans would be interested in having temporarily tattooed on them for up to two weeks. Logos, phrases, anything fandom or generally geek-related that you think would make a cool tattoo. I'll admit I need a lot of help for video games since the last one I played was on the N64, so any Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Portal fans especially, please think about helping me out?
