All Slytherin fans vote Republican? Did I miss this?
From a discussion over whether Fandom Wank has been interesting lately on LJ.

Slinkhard: Um, all Slytherin fans vote Republican was an interesting recent one? Apart from that, it's been fairly dull. There's only so many ways people can be fucktards...

Here.

Slytherin fans vote Republican sounds like a great wank, but somehow I've managed to miss it. Anyone have any idea if this mythical wank exists, or where it could be?

Yeah, a couple of my friends have the bumper stickers. One of them was harassed for it in 2004 because the election was going to be so close, how could they even think of voting for a third-party candidate?

...okay, I seriously hope whoever said that to them just wasn't familiar with the HP books, because otherwise, d00d. That's some serious humor impairment, right there.

I think the above was sarcastic harrassment. I hope.

I really hope you're right.

If I'm remembering correctly, it was an older woman who had no idea the Harry Potter series existed.

That's somewhat more comforting. Although the name "Voldemort" really ought to have tipped her off that the person in question might not necessarily be, um, y'know, real and stuff.

It almost makes me want to write it "Voldemort" on an election.

Almost.

Well, if it's any comfort, there's no way he's getting the "large, redheaded family vote." So there goes Boston.

I got harassed for my "Bush/Cheney 1984" bumper sticker (once by someone who thought I just didn't know the date). I think we can conclude that political bumper stickers are serious business.
