Toykopop wasn't planning on releasing anymore Slayers novels after volume 6 but my nerdy prayers were answered and they will be releasing volumes 7 and 8 exclusively on the Tokyopop.com website. I want these to sell well because I want all 15. The novels make the anime suck.

It would be bad to start at 7 and 8, you're coming in right in the middle of a story arc! I'm part of a campaign that was started to get the novels published past volume 6, at least to volume 8. Me and my friend Minerva started it because the plotline that starts at 4 ends at 8, and Tokyopop...cut us off in the middle. Thank goodness Kara Stambach was there, because she paid attention when fans said that they were being left in the lurch, and helped convince them to fill out the arc.

Anyways, if you're going to start somewhere, 4 would be the best place. Well...really number 1 would be the best place, since the Slayers novels are a lot different than any anime and manga you may have seen. But, at least starting at 4 you're not coming into the middle of a story. 4-8 is pretty much the Slayers Next season.

Also, my favorite novel so far is number 5, and I'd hate for youto miss out. nn;
