Fact: Chuck Norris doesn't get Chuck Norris facts
I found this in an article on pandragon.net, but basically it's an article on Chuck Norris's take on all the Fact, Chuck Norris jokes....

I think it's time to switch back to Vin Diesel facts. Or start making more Samuel L. Jackson facts, whichever.

(Fact: The only reason Jesus was able to walk on water was because he'd heard that Chuck Norris was after him and he was trying to get away.)

While it's cute that he even took them seriously, I don't think it's embarrassing or kill-joy that he turned it into a serious, devotional message. If G-d's the biggest thing in Chuck Norris's life, who are we to ridicule? That's important to him, and I think as fans and fellow humans, we should respect that. He's being respectful about it and I think we should return the favor.

I feel like I need to change the name of my wireless network from 'chuck norris' to, dunno, 'vin diesel' or 'jack bauer' now. :( And here I laughed every time I logged in from the sheer absurdity of naming a wireless network after an Internet meme.

I am teh sad that he had to go and be all weirdly evangelistic because of the Facts, and yet I'm oddly amused as [info]missdaisy said, that "Only Chuck Norris is strong enough to kill the Chuck Norris meme." And also, as [info]narcissam said, "If Chuck Norris was able to take a joke without getting all self-important and dramatic, what would the world have come to?"

Everyone complaining about Norris's lack of teh funny obviously didn't read it through.
