Why oh why must they always be completely shaved?

Elves are naturally hairless below the neck. It adds to that wooby jailbait aura that makes them so revered amongst the Free Peoples of MagicEarth.

Eh, if you're not going to go to more effort to emphasize the fantasy aspect and used atmospheric setting -- a circlet around the brow doesn't really cut it -- then what's the point? Might as well be doing straight-up nude photography.

The women of Arta use nothing but the finest armor, weapons, clothing, and accessories to cary out their missions. They travel to mysterious places and aquire powerful artifacts.

Apparently "finest" is Arta for "not there at all".

All of that shaving makes me hope that Keiran Halcyon never, never, NEVER finds this site. Because he has enough pron on his Yahoo!Group, and these are tailor-made for being the Druidess Padraigin.

If you don't know, I doubt you want to.

I think the map on page 3 is a nice touch. Especially with the animated banner of the happy naked chick humping a blanket underneath it. Very classy.

I keep getting distracted by how they seem to have maybe three pairs of boots that they all share between each other, though. Which is really kind of sad, actually.

Now that I am home from work and can actually click on the link... I agree with the boring. And too much shaving. Ugh. More importantly, though, the tengwar (Elvish letters) here and here on the pictures of 'Ezca' are completely and totally random. They don't spell anything whatsoever. It's gibberish. With no vowels--even if you were interpreting it in Sindarin mode there is only one. Given the use of the hwesta sindarinwa or Grey-elven 'hw', it should be Sindarin as that is the only mode in which it is used. However, the letters being thus...

First pic: formen, quesse, hwesta, calma, anga, ampa, hwesta sindarinwa
Second pic: calma, nwalme, silme nuquerna, hwesta sindarinwa, umbar, parma, yanta, formen

...in Sindarin mode that works out to, respectively, fquchwcgvhw [f-qu-chw-c-g-v-hw] and cngwshwbpef [c-ngw-s-hw-b-p-e-f], including a couple of letters that are not used in Sindarin (quesse and nwalme), but I gave their most common values for the sake of completeness. In Quenya mode it makes no better sense, coming out as fquhwcngmphw [f-qu-hw-c-ng-mp-hw] and cnwshwmbpyf [c-nw-s-hw-mb-p-y-f], including the hwesta sindarinwa which is not used in Quenya.

None of the other known modes work for it either--all of them use vowel marks rather than letters for the vowels.

Conclusion: absolute gibberish. Random letters chosen only there for looks. I am deeply disappointed.

Why yes, my first fandom was Tolkienian linguistics, how can you tell?
