JF accounts
I am sort of curious (and bored)... There might be about 4500 accounts at Journalfen, but a lot have no entries in them. I know it's because most people have LJs; but thinking about tribe2003, who had no JF account, and had people impersonating her, etc, I was wondering if there are accounts created solely for the purpose of defending oneself in F_W. And if so, which?

(YES, I AM THAT BORED, PLEASE ENTERTAIN ME KTHX)

I think a lot of people make journals and forget about them, too. I have accounts all over the place, but these days my LJ and JF are about the only ones that get used.

And as for the post you linked...

I honestly don't like Fandom_Wank very much. They are sort of cruel to people, and really show that they have no lives. =(

...cruel like THOSE MEAN GIRLS IN HIGH SCHOOL, baby~

I know. "OMG That girl whomever she is has said I have no life!! I'm going to care so much!"

Etc...

Well, mine doesn't appear to have entries in it, but it does. They're just locked for various reasons. And I think a lot of people only have accounts here so that they can post in/follow Fandom_Wank.

Yeah, I know. I don't update my JF very often, but I wondered if there were accounts created so the person could "defend" themselves and people knowing it's them. Just idle curiosity. :P

(For the record: I'd think it's mostly a matter of perspective, that is, those people would have their JFs because *they* feel they have to defend themselves if their name comes up in a wank. I don't think they have to defend themselves, but if it contributes to the funny, by all means, defend yourself!)

I don't use my JF for anything but commenting.

But I didn't create it out of any need to defend myself. Rather I created it to snark away.

Piccalo has a JF account and she seems to pop up at DLA when people are "calling her out."

Yeah, I think I read that somewhere and I wondered if there were anymore.

There was also this wank, and some of the people mentioned at [info]fwgreatesthits.

That wank you linked to... gave me headaches for days a few minutes... Is it that hard to keep to the point when writing incoherent babbling? Agh.

I just use my account to reply to entries. Just like I'm doing now. This way I don't get mixed up with the various anonymice.

Like the above, I only have an account so I can respond to entries. I thought about turning the JF into a ficblog, but then I thought "What would I put in my LJ?"

Plus, I'm lazy, and maintaining one journal is about all I can handle.

*Squee* Random icon love.

And I, like lots of others, only have an account that I use for posting to other journals without being anonymous.

Kakusei Loki is the greatest; I do so love a flirt. (which is probably why two of my other favorite characters are Kigai Yuuto of X and Oshitari Yuushi of Prince of Tennis)

Yeah, I got the account months ago, and I still mostly lurk. And boggle, of course. And snicker. Lots of boggling and snickering, just like most everyone else.

Yuuto!

I adore Yuuto, but I've not met many other fans.

Yuuto is so underappreciated - I've even heard that CLAMP doesn't like him much, and that's why he hasn't had any character development.

Can't speak to the f_w issue, but I know someone who has a JF not specifically for commenting, but for the ability to create a friends list, and follow those specific journals.

Actually, I have blogs both on livejournal and elsewhere, and I really don't have the time to run one here as well. I joined JF after Crystalwank as a gesture of (financial) support and so I could post as a member and not just another anonymouse.

I have a JF mostly to follow F_W and the RPGs I'm on as well. I barely update my LJ as it is, but 99% of my entries are public.
