Only LKH could complain...
about the lack of wererat cock in the comic book adaptation of Anita Blake.

The commenters mention it in this blog post. Why am I only finding out about this now? This seems like the sort of thing that should be shared, if only because it's the funniest thing I've heard about in a long time.

Hahahah yeah. "Good RatKing covers his wereshame." :P Also, the word "werewang".

"Good RatKing covers his wereshame."

You don't know how glad I am that I've never read an Anita Blake novel.

Heeeee. :D Actually the early ones are pretty good, even if the comic sucks. It's only later on that she gets the Ardueueurueuruer and starts fucking everything that moves.

I'm afraid that knowledge of the later WTFery would spoil any enjoyment I might get from the older novels. I'm just glad I was warned before I got into her stuff and started liking it - imagine my disappointment as I followed Ms. Blake's the novels' slow decline into batshittery.

Pointing and laughing is always fun, but I prefer the kind that doesn't involve any real monetary or time investment - hence my love of Fandom_Wank! ;)

Crap. After that one wank, the line "She knew vampires like some people knew horses," just makes me think, "Her boyfriend? A Many Fifteen billion A cadre of undead."

I don't know why, but it's reminding me of some old joke I heard somewhere. "Cock goes were?" It doesn't work the same without the image of a giant were-rooster, though.

Anita claims that she "knew vampires like some people knew horses." Given what I've heard about her relationships later on in the series, that line is frigg'n hilarious.

Why does it always come back to horse-fuckers? Why???

Something about how yon Hamilton woman complained that there wasn't a naked wererat in the adaptation as there was in her novel and spoilage of vision, hearsay, etc. Because wererat wang would absolutely fly in a roughly PG-ish (?) Marvel title.

According to the commenters at ISB, at least, there was at least one wererat gallivanting about in the nude -- though not the denim cutoff-swathed Wererat King, just some nameless flunky -- in that particular scene. I fail to see how his exclusion is of import to the tissue-thin plot, really.

Anita Blake, seen here cowering in fear of vermin, appears to have a lazy eye and thighs like a pair of Christmas geese.

Seriously. What's wrong with her thighs??? The random musculature seen on everyone else (including the walls) I can get over, but good god, her thighs. They remind me strangely of the thighs in that 'Shop of Daniel Radcliffe from Equus—which is just further evidence that everything leads back to horse-fuckers.

You know, the thought of the Anita Blake series was once anathema to me. I couldn't stand it, couldn't bear to listen to its discussion.

"Horrid tripe," thought I. "Rampant Mary-Sue indulgence hardly worth the effort of pressing the keys to produce it. And worst of all, she's paid to regurgitate it for publication."

Then I saw that artwork. I can't stop laughing. Oh, LKH, Marvel Comics, Mr. Booth, I thank you sincerely and from the deepest cockles of my heart for bringing this fresh humour into my life.
