Cassie Clare up for deletion
The Wikipedia article for Cassandra Clare (or, if you prefer, Claire) is up for deletion. As is the article about her books. I foresee legions of fanpoodles spamming the !vote...

ETA: Finally getting a little bit wanky? VivianDarkbloom (in both AfDs) is now claiming that it's a bannable offense for wankas to participate in the AfD. If it's trolling the wank, it's certainly bannable here, but she seems to be implying that it's bannable there as well.

I'm not a huge fan of hers, but deleting her article is just silly. She exists, so why not include her?

Actually it even looks as if she'd have made up the entire article herself. And that gets me a vision now: CC sitting at her desk, chewing at the end of her pen by musing how to finish her letter to the Nobel prize committee: "Dear folks, I'm CC. I'm sure you heard already about me and you certainly read my famous Draco trilogy which everyone on earth found breath-taking and great (except of a few meanies who're only jealous about my talent, my devoted fans, my laptop, my i-pod and my BNF state and therefore accused me of plagiarism). By now I've got my first book published and it's of course a real archievment in the world of literature. My fan poodles (except of the few meanies, who are jealous on my published work, my talent, my devoted fans and the fact that I'm to become as rich and famous as the much less talented J.K. Rowlings soon) and I are convinced that I deserve the Nobel prize for literature for this book, hence I wanted to make sure you don't forget me when it comes to giving it out next time."

Well, as Pullman has been somewhat wanky in the past, I'll venture a guess and say yes.

(Saying Pullman's something of a wanker about Lewis because honestly, he seems to be grasping at straws here, and reading just a bit too much into what happened to Susan. Kind of like the person arguing that LotR was racist.)

God, look at the number of times plagiarism-related stuff has been removed. A wiki article on her that doesn't mention the plagiarism debate (or iPods) is like, I don't know, it's like Christmas without ham.

Mmm, goose.

Um, I mean, plagiarism bad, of course. It amuses me that the FW wiki's coverage is so much less boring than WP's. Though it doesn't really mention iPods either.

Indeed. I can honestly see why they deleted it, because F_W does not a credible source make, but STILL.

Obviously someone needs to publish an article about it.

You know, she's had a wiki in her name for YEARS when all she was was a BNF, now that she's a published author they are going to delete her? It seems a bit backward to me. Either that or fanfic is more important than being published fiction.

End decision was to keep the CC entry but merge the City of Bones entry into it. Given that the entry doesn't mention the plagiarism allegations at all, I can foresee this providing hours of wank potential in the future as and when the fanpoodles get their paws on it.
