It's from Heathers. Assuming I am remembering correctly, the actual quote is "I love my dead gay son."

Hmm. I'm not sure. I do know that there's an icon floating around out there that features it (and yes, it has been used when commenting in the wank comms because that's where I'm remembering it from). I think it might be one of those made by [info]cleolinda, I vaguely remember it using her usual format.

You mean like every wank ever? At this point it's a pretty standard thing to say when a show gets canceled or a character dies or a book series ends or any number of other things, so it really could have been anywhere.

That "quoth the server" icon is so full of win. My username used to be quoth_the_raven because I love that Poe poem so much. Is that icon gankable by any desperately hopeful chance? I always give keyword credit.

It's a line from Heathers. One of the dead jocks is set up to look like he had killed himself over being gay (I am totally remembering this wrong I think) and at the funeral his father says, "I love my son. I love my dead gay son!"
