Harry Potter Star to Play Gay Salvador Dali

In comparison to Frida: "But will you be as interested in seeing a young Salvador Dalí make it with a man, specifically Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca, as you were in seeing Salma Hayek kiss Ashley Judd?"

I thought not until they drop this key bit of casting:  "...Robert Pattinson, best known as "Cedric Diggory" in the Harry Potter movies, playing Dalí."

There's no real biographical evidence for it, though Garcia Lorca was gay and Dali was bi and they were good friends who hung out a lot.

Yes, if your imagination survives the clitorectomy of the Ph.D., if you run the academic gantlet of hungry Pilgrim hands and survive their tearing nails, more power to you.

Is it not the wifely, dutiful rack you are supposed to be stretched out on, the Pilgrim's wheel of commerce and progress where you are supposed to be laboring when you are not cleaning house and suckling the young? I suggest you examine the setting here, and look for the character's motivation. Why is this your problem and not the world's?

I totally skimmed this at first and misread it to mean that Daniel Radcliffe and Robert Pattinson were playing Dali and Lorca, and was like "Why aren't more people going OMG!!! right now?"

I think the swell of excitement I felt when I read the Lorca Wiki article and realized there might be references to Un Chien Andalou was terribly misplaced. :/ I SHOULD be thinking of this as "PRETTY BOY LOVE."

When did Robert Pattinson become a "star" of the HP films instead of a very minor character who was killed off like an Enterprise ensign? If someone's going to tell me a story's about an HP "star" it had better be Dan, Rupert or at least Emma.

They probably thought "Harry Potter Bit Player to Play Gay Salvador Dali" wouldn't get as much attention, but at least it would have been accurate.
