My firefox lj extension is also not connecting.

Crikey, I really missed this party...I'm working on a series of articles about

* the playwright John Patrick Shanley,
* the production history of the play DOUBT,
* the history and nature of the current foment in the Catholic church that began with Vatican 2 and in some respects continues to this day.

...Actually, that last one I still want to write myself, because I can look up all sorts of weird random factoids and throw them in, and end up discussing everything from that weird faction of the church that made Sinead O'Connor a priest to the wacked-out conspiracy theorist who claimed that the Vatican has been controlled by a Satanic cabal since the early 1930's.
