Celebrity Worship, Personality and Temperaments
I found a blog post which I believe may be relevant to our interests: Celebrity Worship, Personality and Temperaments. The a brief summary of the source article can be located here. (The link on the blog is dead.) And yes, I know the article is sort of old, but, hey, so am I.

From both:

People were split into one of three groups by answering positively towards statements such as:

* ‘My friends and I like to discuss what my favourite celebrity has done’ (entertainment-social)
* ‘I consider my favourite celebrity to be my soul mate’ (Intense-personal)
* ‘If I walked through the door of my favourite celebrity’s house she or he would be pleased to see me’ (Borderline-pathological)

See anyone you know in that last category?

Agreed. There are people that you end up avoiding constantly during your lunch break because you don't want to hear about their Hinckley-esque plans to impress their celebrity love.

Oh, yeah. I actually knew one who had a restraining order taken out against them.
