Childhood: Live action and on the big screen!
When I was a little girl, there were few things I liked better than Saturday morning cartoons. Transformers, WWF Wrestling Superstars, Scooby Doo, I was right there watching them.

I've seen the WWF go down the tubes, I've seen the live-action Scooby Doo and Transformer movies. The next on the list?

G.I. Joe

Live action, on the big screen. I. Am. So. Pumped.

Bring on the Baroness, and Cobra Commander!

I will say, I look back on my memories of G.I.Joe, and there are two things that stick out:

1 - All the men were gay. Especially the sailor guy.

2 - Lady Jay and Scarlett were so shagging each other. (I have no idea why I remember their names, save they were the only "girls" in the series.)

Yo Joe!

Oooo Wanted Castings? Micheal Clarke Duncan as Roadblock? YES. PLEASE.

The Baroness was my favorite Joe character ever, but I also hated her because the fact that I liked her meant I always had to play her (and be the only villain) and get my ass kicked by the boys I hung out with, who always played the Joes.

That's why I was always Scarlett. 7 y/o and more than capable of beating up a dozen 9 y/o boys? *cracks knuckles* They didn't want me to play Baroness. They let me once; on that day evil triumphed over good for two breaktimes and all the way through lunch.

I was a shrimp until I hit 5th grade(about six inches smaller and 15 pounds underweight compared to normal kids my age, nevermind the older ones), so I never stood a chance.

I was, umm, at the opposite end of the spectrum: 8 inches taller and used to judo throw my 17 y/o cousin around. O.o I think that helped my campaign for evil. That and I wore so much pink it struck terror into the hearts of most girls.

But will Roadblock talk in rhymes? That's what I want to know.

It was totally a threesome because you forgot Covergirl.

It's easy enough to do, though. She wasn't anybody's beard girlfriend, after all.

After the episode with the siren conch, I actually shipped Lady Jaye/Evil Twins. >_> And From the M.A.S.S. Device, I actually also shipped Cobra Commander/Scarlett and/or Destro/Baroness/Scarlett (at least, I think it was the M.A.S.S. device...at any rate it was one of the week-long five-parters.) I was fond of my GI Joe OT3s and improbable crack-ship pairings back in the day. I was all of 10-11 years old.

And Snake Eyes was so badass, all it took for him to bounce back from radiation sickness was some herbal therapy administered by a mountain man. I hope that makes it into the film.

The closest I got to GI Joe shipping was watching the new Sigma Six cartoon and shipping Hi-Tech/Destro because of all the subtexty threats.

And then something my friend pulled out relating to Cobra Commander/Baroness and some very interesting theories on the pairing. And some very disturbing ones on hemipenes.

*peers at Sienna Miller's portfolio* I can't say she seems like the Baroness, but then again she might surprise us.
