I don't know why he thinks it's a *bad* thing.

So it turns out that LucasArts is developing a new… I suppose it’s not exactly “game”, and more “multimedia extravaganza” called the Force Unleashed.

There are some videos here, where they show off the new physics and AI engine, and apparently the AI are given actual nervous systems or some kind of voodoo magic which means that they basically have their own reflexes and the like (they’ll grab on to ledges if they fall, or, really, anything near them if you start tossing them around with the Force).

Well, really, the game trailers are nice and all, but the reason I am coming to you is because of this comic.

…yeah. I don’t know why Tycho thinks this is a bad idea, really.

They're milking so much content out of that period that eventually we'll be playing a game as Luke where the goal is to repair vaporators on the south ridge. Hurry up you've only got 'till mid day!

How sad is it that I would totally play that game?

From a MMORPG player point of view, I can actually kinda see where the problem might be with it. Once you allow players freedom like that, they'll exploit the hell out of it.

Still, even with that in mind, I -want- to see this system in action and play with it myself. (Plus, I'd be a happy camper using the force to kill people who annoy me ;D )
