Jordan College The Rules and Application
Twenty years before the events of The Golden Compass, travelers from every world imaginable are gathering in Asriel's Oxford and under the northern lights of Bolvangar. Rips and tears in the fabric of the multiverse lead them to the world of Lord Asriel, where they are whisked away to Oxford or the frozen North by Asriel's men for purposes unknown. Humans- or at least beings who can pass for human- are taken to Jordan College to assist Asriel's more scholarly efforts. Those different enough to raise eyebrows and attract the all-seeing eye of the Church, however, are shipped to Norroway, among the panserbjørne and witches of the far north.
Anyone from the fandoms of our world is of utmost interest to Lord Asriel's mysterious studies and any such characters will be immediately taken in. The philosophers, writers, artists, scientists, and politicians of our world are of great interest to Asriel as well- however, it should be noted that he has no use for your average celebrity. The Paris Hiltons and My Chemical Romances of the world are (according to Asriel's orders) to be left at whatever hole they crawled through, and thus, they are out of the scope of this game.
Newcomers (original characters, you might say) from the many species of His Dark Materials are also welcome, if they have Lord Asriel's approval.
It should also be noted that original characters from fandoms other than His Dark Materials are not permitted.
