I had the exact same thing...then I realized Brandis is dead, so I would say it wasn't gonna happen anyway.

I keep forgetting Brandis is dead, if it makes you feel better. I mean, it just seems weird to say it.

I bet they could get Darwin, though.

Oooh, yes, Darwin was the man.

Darwin was pimp.

You can get him, and Ted Raimi. They might be the only ones willing. Maybe Ironside. I always loved Darwin, man.

Hey, at least he was 75. Of course everyone wants to make it to 100 these days, but all told, that's still a good long life. :D

Except I still don't remember who this guy is.

Yeah, but the only part I really remember from that movie anymore is the opening scene, since we've been shown it over and over in class.

The opening scene over and over?! Gah. Why?

(Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

[info]vzg
2008-02-12 02:04 am UTC (link)
To study it. Watching it (or the credits or whatever) without sound to see the affect of music, or watching it to see what day-for-night shooting looks like and how they fool us with it more effectively (but how you can tell that it's not really night) and... and stuff.

What class are you taking that shows a young woman skinny dipping at dusk and then getting herself *chomped up* by a Great White?

Various film classes. :D No one really could care less if a film happens to involve a naked person or fifty, here.

That's good. Your teacher can go show the opening of 300 without getting in trouble for it.

As long as they found a "reason" for it, I doubt anything they'd show us could get them in trouble. Film-wise, I mean.

It's all because of him that I know what to do if I'm ever on a fishing boat that's being attacked by a great white shark.

Actually the ONTD post was surprisingly tasteful. Mostly just people nerding out over SeaQuest or Jaws, and a few strange souls like me reminiscing about how we used to crush on him.
