They made me an offer I can't understand...
So I got this email... probably because I belong to a few Yahoo Buffy fan groups... inviting me to join the "HavenMidWest group":

Dedicated to promoting unity and understanding of and among 'our kind'. Who is 'our kind'? Our Kind encompassess many walks... vampire/vampyre, otherkin, were, pagan, goth, donors/swans.

OK, guys... I like TV shows that feature vampires; don't really want to be one. And what 'n heck are donors and swans? It's one of those "I'm curious but afraid to ask" situations. Anyone out there recognize the term?

Anne Rice vocab calls a group of vampires a coven.

I mean - the grand lord Lestat, who as we all know is real, proclaimed it to be such and we mere mortals are only following in the shadow of this great vampyre.

Or something.
