Once upon a time

When I was wee child of the 1980's, there was a line of stuffed puppy toys. They were not Pound Puppies, and I cannot remember what they were called. I remember there was an animated movie where they were magical based puppies from another world, but I don't remember if the toy or the movie came first. Ring any bells?

Well, there were Wrinkles. IIRC, that was the plot of the show or movie.

Doesn't ring a bell (my nieces were Pound Puppies kids), but there's an alphabetical list of 80s toys here that might help:

Maybe you'll find it somewhere in this list of fictional dogs.

Hey, I think I remember them! And I also think I vaguely remember the Poochie for Girls song that used to be in all the commercials, which I will likely be humming all day now. D:

Just checked the whole of that site out - I think I had at least one toy from every collection named! Some that I hadn't thought about for years..

Ahh, I was just going to suggest Fluppies, too. I got one on Ebay about a year ago for like 5 bucks.

OH MY GOD. I had the yellow one! I loved it! I can't believe I completely forgot about that O_O

I remember there was a Popples movie (I think it was Popples, anyways) where they got stuck in a dryer. My daycare showed it right before naptime and therefore I had recurring nightmares about it. D:

Man, I loved the Fluppies movie with the keys that opened portals to different places and the flying carpet. Ha. I was trying so hard to remember what they were called. Good times, good times.

Thanks, people! :D

Me and my brother used to use icicles as our own keys in winter and pretend to open secret-portal-doors when we were little. Good times indeed.
