I installed the latest Firefox the other day (2.0.0.12) and I've been REGRETTING it ever since--Greasemonkey and Yahoo Toolbar won't install no matter what I do (luckily LJ Login still works or I'd really be screaming). If there's a "revert to previous version" option, I can't find it, and I don't seem to have any previous install versions. Does anyone happen to still have a less recent Firefox .exe file? I'm hoping for 1.5, I think...

ETA: Okay, version wasn't the problem, as 1.5 wouldn't work either... now trying to figure out why precisely no more add-ons will install.

I googled Firefox 1.5 download, hopefully one of those sites will have a good copy. =)

Odd, I let it auto-update to 2.0.0.12 and Greasemonkey (and all my other extensions, of which, Yahoo toolbar is not one) still works fine.

What sort of error are you getting when you try to install Greasemonkey?

"Unexpected installation error". Then again, I just seem to have having HORRIBLE luck with Firefox in general right now; 1.5 didn't work either, went back to 2, and not only am I having all my previous problems, but it's crashing a lot. Like every time I try to look at my History.

Maybe I should make sure my computer isn't somehow causing the problem... T_T

Try removing Firefox and running CCleaner to remove any bits that might be hanging around? It definitely sounds like something up with your computer.

This program looks VERY useful, thank you! I just deleted 2 GB from my cache (apparently) that I hadn't known I had...

It's scary how much stuff lands in the temporary internet files and stays there. I think I freed up 12GB the first time I ran CCleaner. O.O
