Wait... what? You get extra icons, and joining without need of a code. And extra customization. As far back as 2003, IIRC, when I joined LJ. The hell is he talking about?

	I joined in early 2001, and even then paid users/early adopters had the privilege of being able to customise their HTML at the core level rather than using clunky overrides. And I can't remember how many icons I was allowed to have before I got a paid account in '04, but I seem to remember that extra icons was also a paid account perk at least since '01.
